Pono Chocolate was founded in 2018 by Jan and Jen, two women with a shared love for Hawai'i and chocolate, based in Maui. Together, they carefully crafted 8 delicious chocolate bars — two of which give a portion of proceeds to local charities, reflecting our belief in giving back to the community.

Today, Pono Chocolate is proudly owned and led by Jan, continuing the mission the brand was built on: to live an authentic pono lifestyle. That means making our sweet and savory chocolates responsibly, while inspiring others to learn from the infinite wisdom of the Hawaiian culture of pono.
