The charming, laid-back town of Hale’iwa was founded in 1832 and has evolved into a social and artistic hub filled with surf shops, boutiques, food trucks, and art galleries. This Northshore paradise is home to Waimea Bay, ‘Ehukai (better known as the “Banzai Pipeline”), and Sunset Beach. All are known for massive waves that provide a backdrop for some of the most famous big-wave surfers and contests. The winter swell brings powerful waves up to 60 feet high, making this area a world-renowned surfing mecca.
